Spiritual Highway

2018 has been a rough patch for me health wise. I have been in the hospital 3 times–one time I was in the ICU for 3 days. The love and support from family, friends, co-workers, and members of church got me through the rough pinches and boosted my spirit when I sorely needed it.

I don’t have an M.D. but I know enough about health care and healing that a positive attitude is essential. Keeping a positive attitude though is easier sad than done, especially when your body feels so out of it.

All of this has given my a chance to be with God. As I walk my road to recovery and health, Jesus has my hand and is walking with down the road. We are walking together along the path to wellness.

I didn’t expect this, and before I had my latest bought I would have told anyone they are nuts, but through the last trip to the hospital I have learned more about joy and happiness than I could have imagined. I also learned how much I love my job and want to be at work. No offense meant to doctors and nurses, but I hate going to the hospital and going into doctor appointments. I want to be out in the community traveling, eating out, shopping, going to church, and working. I am tired of sponge baths and can’t wait until the doctor clears me to have a shower and go back to the Y.

I am convinced more than ever that life is a gift from our Heavenly Father and each and every moment is a cause for celebration. We all have our crosses to bear, but lets not get caught up dwelling on our sufferings. That accomplishing nothing. I am convinced that for every Good Friday there is an Easter!
