It takes a lot of courage to make a a decision: what job to take, who to love, what school to go to, what major to study, which house to buy. and so on. It tests our intellect, our emotions, and our will. Which way do we go? What metric do we use? Do we rely on are reason or emotion. How much information do we need? What sources do we use? How much time do we have? What is the costs of making a decision? What are the risks of making a poor decision? We need to ask ourselves why I am making the decision in the first place?
Some regard making decisions as an exciting opportunity, and others regard it as an anxiety evoking burden. Some have little experience making decisions, while others are old hands at it. Getting the advice of family and friends can help, so does consulting with professionals.
In short there is no guarantee that we will make the perfect decision, all we can do is make the best decision we can and do so with confidence.
