I have been reading a number of excellent books on a wide variety of topics, but they all speak to the importance of knowing yourself and your vision. For me, that is simple. I am a child of our loving Father in Heaven, who cares, provides, and blesses me with all good things. My vision is equally simple, to love and serve my Lord with all my heart. Also, humanity is interconnected whose greatness is achieved through unity, sharing, and peace. Life is simple for me, with very few shades of gray. Prayer, the sacraments, and mass are essential for my happiness. I may not have all that I want in life, but if I stick to my image of myself and my vision, I have enough to lead a contented life.
