I find these day marked by direct and confrontational brazenness. I am not sure what it accomplishes except bruises, scars, and broken relationships. I favor a gentler approach with empathy, acceptance, and tolerance. I believe in listening meaningfully before speaking and never speak to condemn but rather to build up. There is far too much guilt and shame in this world that only serves to drag people down. Gentleness is a hallmark of friendship, treating friends with dignity and respect. Next time you are on the road or on social media, think how you might be a little bit more gentle.
