We can do this

With all the negative accounts in the media, it is easy to think that this country is hopelessly divided. I still passionately believe that are differences can be overcome, that we can find common ground if just simply tried to yield to common sense. There is no gain in divisions. It is time we see ourselves as Americans first and put aside partisan bickering. There is so much to be done in this country, so much to be accomplished if we could only find it within ourselves to be united. We need new infrastructure, we have increased income inequality, we need to work on the environment. We need to transition are economy to one based on sustainable energy. In short there is a lot to be done, but only if we can pull ourselves out of this negative tailspin of endless confrontation.
